Surely, many of you were impressed if you heard that Marie (AKA Czech Mary) received a goldfish in the sink from her KK during advent. [Incredibly appropriate if KK knew anything about the Czech Christmas Eve dinner.] I didn't think the gesture would be topped. But if you take a closer look at the photo today you will realise that someone was hard at work this advent. My expectations were exceeded.
The prayer and KK gift exchange were held as usual on Christmas Eve morning. We squeezed into the Ark and learned what little angels had been doing all the month long. The gifts were amazing reflections of the gifts that our community members carry with them in the world. We haven't room to enumerate the entire list but suffice it to say that Murray wrapped Matthew's Liverpool calendar in red and gold paper, Gwen brought our beloved Giant's Causeway into the room by giving Joe her blue painting of the famous rocks, Larry followed several coffee manifestations by supplying Scott with a giant mug, and Debbie presented Gosia with two books and one precious, handmade (by her hands!) lace bookmark.
The celebration was lovely and warmed our hearts for the coming of Christmas. We are wishing all of you a happy and healthy holiday with love and joy that spills out into the streets.
