Holy Raining Cats and Dogs Thursday

Lunch was dry and tasty. Never before have those two words gone together in a food critic's diary! As you might expect, an early Easter means an early Community Thursday celebration at the Giants Causeway and Ballintoy. The consequence: good ole North Coast downpours. This time, it was just lone Larry committed to getting his feet wet with Octavia's help. But we all appreciated his commitment to the community act and we enjoyed our lunch, as above, at Corrymeela. After 2 cars belonging to friends in the group broke down, we were thankful for shelter and hot tea!

Today we joined others in the Ballynafeigh walk behind the cross after a challenging morning of living in The Ember. Maria kept reminding us that it is a great sign of hope when the church calendar and the earth calendar coincide: Good Friday is the meeting of evil with good, the equinox is the meeting of light and darkness. And to top it all off, we saw a rainbow on the way to Ormeau Park!

Nadja has joined us for the holiday. I wish we had so much more room and less distance so that all the former assistants could be here to celebrate with us! Happy Easter.
