Last Friday night, the Belmont Towers were the backdrop for the party of the year. So far. Maria, Mary, and Megan found themselves the guests of honour surrounded by family, friends, food, and of course FUN! According to Thomas:

. Sausages, puddings, and the dancing. I liked it that much. I danced with Becca, Debbie, Megan, Jillian a lot and Mary. Gwen was too busy to chat.Yeah, she was! Sadly, on Gwen's official last day as an employee of L'Arche Belfast we finally go to see her dance moves. Oh, my! Picture J-Lo crossed with Ginger Rogers and you are somewhere near the ballpark. Add a life-sized poster of Mary Egan or Maria Garvey used as a mask and you can imagine just how crazy the performance became!
But let us not forget the decor---enough balloons to keep the kids busy for 3 hours, flowers, paper ornaments, streamers and tea lights in all the right places. I hardly noticed any of this while I was cramming in the veg lasagne and the mediterranean veg sandwiches, but once I had settled in a bit, had a laugh with Helen O'Shea and rejoiced in the presence of Wee Sean Garvey, well, after all these things I noticed the ambience.
Then I ate chocolate cake, the tiniest piece, and pavlova. Pavlova. Who made the pavlova?
Aren't we lucky to have people like Gwen, Debbie, and Gosia in our community? Well done, women! And thanks to all the anonymous cooks and scurriers. I hardly know how Larry Gourley's 40th could come near this shindig.

I´m sure Malcom made the Pavlova - I wonder when he´ll finally make a vegan one.... :) He probably just couldn´t admit it because he might have been overshadowed by the huge bumb next to him. Nadi
I think you mean bump? Cuz I didn't see any big bumbs or even bombs that night. And, no it weren't Malcom--he was in bed with a bad chest, the poor fella.
