Rumour Has It

'Rumour has it' is such a lovely phrase. The personification of bits of news flying hither and thither, possessing the fresh ideas that fly out of our mouths. Well, rumour has it that Thomas has a brand new tie. I know that there is a big event next Tuesday, the L'Arche Belfast AGM, and I am hoping with all of my might that Thomas will wear that fancy neck gear so I can post you a photo of it! You might wonder how Thomas came by this tie? That, my friends, is the work of Krist Kindle.

In L'Arche Belfast, we celebrate Advent with Krist Kindle. At a special prayer, you draw a card with a person's name on it. That person is your KK. You give them secret gifts and you don't show them to anyone else or tell anyone about them. On Christmas Eve, you have 3 guesses to try to guess who is your KK. If you can't guess, then you're told.

We can't guess who is Thomas's KK yet, but it is safe to say that someone knows he likes flashy ties! So that these wee KKs might light your advent candle as well I present this list of confirmed Kindlings....

• Jillian received a gorgeous quilled Christmas tree ornament through the door last Monday while we were all inside!
• The same night Scott's front door was hung with a sign saying I'm in the Garden while he was in the kitchen.
  
• Hannah received a link to a recipe website.
  
• Gosia was given a recipe for cranberry puffs and she made them for everyone.

(A theme emerging? Or just 2 passionate cooks?)

• Larry found sweets in a private corner of the Ember.
• Helen received a new silver necklace.
  
• Octavia was presented with honey & lemon for her cold, and an apple.

Certainly there have been many more notable manifestations but I can't be everywhere at once!

If you could be everywhere at once I would hope that you would make the L'Arche Belfast AGM one of the places. I have been waiting to have my first mince pie just after the unveiling of our new website....
