The Month of August from Cami's eyes

Hi everybody!
I'm Camille, I have been in The Ember for 6 months. I am in charge of telling what happened this August.

It has been a very quiet and resting month for everybody. Holiday time for the whole community.
May went to Israel and came back enchanted! She's finding her space in The Ember and gives life to the house. She's beginning a new course next Monday and she's very excited about it! So good luck May!

Thomas is still running! He is beginning a new course at college in September and can't wait for it to start!
Larry is in really good form and always is joking around! His DVD collection is increasing every week so if you need advice, ask him!

Jillian dressed up in fancy clothes last week and came home from the centre with fancy blue hair!!

Jillian is the same beautiful woman as always! Dancing and laughing a lot, she is stil a hard worker and keeps the house really tidy and clean.
We had a crazy weekend last week, we went to Corrymeela community to work with them. Lots of garening, tidying up and tea breaks! We had to go to the beach and pick up nice stones. We put them in the garden and every person that comes to Corrymeela will bring one house as a souvenir. Lucy and Thomas worked very hard in the garden and Micah and Larry cut the hedge. Jillian did lots of work and heped probably more than Thomas and Larry together: unstoppable! May came with us for one day and it was really nice to have her for the first time on holiday with us!
We welcomed Teresa this month, she was a one month volunteer from Austria. She enjoyed being here a lot and left last Saturday!
This week is a crazy one! Two new volunteers are coming! Manuela from Austria, for 1 month and Emily from the states for almost a year.
We had my leaving party yesterday. I'm going back to France this Friday to study. It was a nice party even if it's really hard to say goodbye to really good friends! I'm going to miss The Ember and everybody! Thank you for al your love, your support, your joy, and your welcome. L'Arche Belfast still will be in my heart for ever and I'll come back to visit! I promise! Maybe one day, my picture will come back to the other side of the kitchen, who knows?

This week is a closing a page for me and a new line in The Ember life book. Welcome to the new volunteers and cheers everybody.
