Last week was a stretch of holiday for Larry and Thomas. Jillian carried on as usual with her work. So Larry and Thomas and company took advantage of a chance to head up to the allotment and as Thomas put it "get down on their knees and get their hands dirty".
Thomas and I (Lucy) picked many strawberries and raspberries while Scott and Micah cut the grass and Larry decided he would "just watch". Larry's main goal of the day was to get down to see the broken down Volvo by the toilet! And O boy when he saw it, he took many pictures on his phone of every which angle, especially the gas tank!
In the afternoon we were joined by Makiko, Noah and Matthew for a lovely Barbecue and great job of weeding the paths and watching the cows go by! The day ended by picking broad beans, peas, garlic and kale.
After a day in the sunshine, rain and wind, we were all a bit tuckered out in the evening and were ready for the comfy seating in the Ember!
